The India Power Grids Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 900 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub within PG Business and HVDC and FACTS engineering center outside ABB Sweden. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports ABB units in more than 25 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 60 countries.

Your responsibilities
Responsible to design the Telecommunication cabinets (consisting of Fiber Optic Equipment, PLCC, PABX and Microwave radios) based on input provided.
During the project execution, requirement is for the preparation of project specific design file: BOM, Manufacturing document, Cable list, Cable/Terminal labels, Customer documentation and as-built.
Ensure efficiency and quality of deliverable by design engineering.
Designing of telecommunication cabinets by using tools E3/AutoCAD.

Your background
Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications with a focus on Telecommunication or equivalent.
2-5 Years relevant experience in designing using E3/AutoCAD.
Knowledge of AutoCAD in MS-Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good problem solving skills, quality minded and co-operative team player.
Interest in working in an international and multicultural environment.
